About: Missing You

I was Captain of a tall ship called The Swift of Ipswitch for a while. One night I was moored off of Catalina Island with a few of 12 teens and 4 volunteer adults. There was no moon, it was summer, balmy and calm. There were sea lions chasing fish up against the side of the boat to catch them. Purple phosphorescent was trailing the fish and sea lions. There was calypso music playing in the small town at the isthmus and the harbour lights reflected clearly off of the calm water. The Milky Way  was a wight wash across the sky and my wife and new born son were back at home on land.

I had plans to sail on for some time longer but this song came out of me and I had to take note. Nothing can be truly beautiful without my family there to share it with.
